Custom FN Mauser in .270 Winchester built in 1955 by Kurt Jager of Mainz, Germany who is the brother of Paul Jager of Jenkintown, PA. Kurt Jager is a well respected gunmaker and engraver. This gun, built on a commercial FN Mauser action, features a 24 inch barrel without open sights, rail mounted Docter Optic scope with claw mounts, and finely jeweled bolt, follower, and bolt release. FN bottom metal with French Gray floorplate with very well executed Whitetail game scene engraving and oak leaf engraving on trigger guard. European walnut Monte Carlo stock with American Classic style shadow line cheekpiece. Fine line checkering with tasteful oak leaf border carving. Ebony forend tip and grip cap. 14 inch LOP to ventilated pad. 8lb 11oz with scope. This is a well executed custom piece with quality German optics by a well respected German gunbuilder. Shows slight handling marks only. It does not appear that this gun has been hunted. Priced less than what it would cost to duplicate the engraving.
