Pre-War Mauser 98 German stalking rifle with 22" Krupp steel half round/half octagon barrel with integral matted rib and ramp front sight. 1924 manufacturing. One standing, one folding rear leaf sight. 96% original barrel blue. Bore is excellent. Color case hardened reciever with nice border engraving and traces of remaining colors. Never drilled or tapped. Nicely sculptured trigger guard with double set triggers. Butter knife bolt handle. Stock is solid with horn pistol grip cap, horn basket weave buttplate and pancake cheekpiece. 13 3/4" LOP 6LB 8OZ Very discretely import marked. The classic pre-war German stalking rifle in very nice original condition
