Pre-War Model 70 in 30-06. 1942 production. 24" barrel with integral hooded ramp front sight with excellent bore. Period Lyman Alaskan 2 1/2X scope with post and crosshair in period Stith mounts requiring no holes drilled. Added period correct Tilden safety lever for scope use. Factory original blue at 97% Wood finish at 95% with scattered handling marks from light field use. Correct 20-line per inch checkering. Correct Model 70 steel buttplate with widows peak. This is an excellent piece with no extra holes. The only modification is the period correct Tilden safety lever. This gun has been well cared for and has seen minimal use over its 69 year life. 9lb 2oz
